Top 5 beautiful beaches in malaysia

Malaysia has dozens of islands on both the east and west coasts that easily rival the beauty of those in Thailand. In addition, Malaysia’s beach resorts rank as some of the best in the region. This list presents the best beach resorts in Malaysia

1. Sipadan Island

Located in Sabah, Sipadan is a delight for paradise seekers. The beach is not all that attracts tourists from all over. Surrounding the island is stunning corals with over 3000 species of marine life. Sightings of sharks, barracudas, turtles and manta rays are fairly common too. Sipadan Island is also the perfect place for divers.

In my many times of visiting Sipadan Island, I have seen people paying about RM300-400 just to come here and snorkel and also just hang out on the beach. The white sand is untouched and the snorkeling is simply out of this world. If you have that extra money, then this is one recommended beach to visit. All trips are half day trips and everyone has to register and leave the island before 5pm. There are no 'I-want-to-see' Sipadan boat services available. All visits must be through a licensed tour operator. Journey from Semporna to here takes about 45 minutes to an hour one way.

2. Perhentian Kecil Island Beach

The backpacker heaven of Malaysia, Perhentian Kecil has been lively since the 70's. Compared to Perhentian Besar, the smaller island showcases a better beach with finer sand. On average, you will see more Caucasians in bikinis and speedo's getting their sun tan while the locals would be busy doing water sport activities. The main beach here is known as Long Beach Perhentian Island or Pantai Pasir Panjang and is very popular as it can get crowded on peak season (March - September). Not really recommended for kids if you ask me but somehow, locals love to bring them here - all for the sake of being here.

3. Tanjung Jara

Explore the untouched shores of the South China Sea while experiencing tranquilly and serenity by the shore at Dungun, Terrenganu’s best kept secret – Tanjung Jara. The secluded beach, with its golden sands and clear turquoise water, is also rich with coastal greens that brings all of nature back to life.

1. Petronas Twin Towers

In a country with an amazingly rich and beautiful natural landscape, Kuala Lumpur's Petronas Twin Towers stand out as an unusual example of Malaysia's urban design excellence. While some may raise their eyebrow at this evident sign of westernization, the Petronas towers certainly deserve to be seen by those visiting Kuala Lumpur. Designed by American architecture star César Pelli and officially inaugurated in 1999, the towers were the tallest buildings in the world until 2004, and are still the world’s tallest twin buildings. Each rising to a little over 450 meters from ground level, and with 88 floors of offices, the towers' most impressive feature is the double-decker bridge which connects them on the 41st and 42nd floors. From the bridge, at 170 meters above ground, visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of the city below their feet.

Malaysia, a Unique Country

Malaysia is a multiracial country. Malaysia has a population of 23.27 million consisting of 61 percent Malays, 30 percent Chinese, 8 percent Indians and 1 percent of other ethnic groups. Malaysia is unique because of its diversity of races, religions and cultures, the stability of the country and many places of interests. Besides, there are many international achievements which are the pride of our nation. Diversity of races, religions and cultures is a significant characteristic of our nation. Malaysia is a multiracial country with a rich cultural heritage. Unique to Malaysia is the 'Open House' concept where during the various cultural and religious festival like Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Gawai Day and others, friends and families and even strangers would visit the homes of those who are celebrating the festival, to wish them well and enjoy the feast prepared by the hosts. Although the visitors may be from different races, they still can tolerate with each other and live under the same roof where they celebrate the festival together. This will help to strengthen the ties among themselves.

Moreover, the stability and peacefulness of Malaysia is also a uniqueness of us. We live harmoniously in a country where there are no wars and conflicts among Malaysians. War is dreadful and it may deteriorate humans' lives. We are fortunate that our country is safe and runs off the war. So, people can live safely here. Somehow, Malaysia is a paradise for those Iraqis or Pakistanis. Besides, our country is freed from natural disasters such as earthquakes. Earthquakes may bring death and destroy many buildings. Therefore, Malaysia is unique because of the stability and peaceful environment.
